Women in Math Day (May 12) Association for Turkish Women in Math Event:
TKMD had organized a meeting on May 13, 2023 as part of the Women’s Day in Mathematics May 12 activities. The event consists of a video of Dr. Amie Wilkinson’s 2018 Fields Medal Symposium on Maryam Mirzakhani’s work, followed by a talk given by Dr. Diana Thomas and an interview with her.

The event consists of a short speech on Maryam Mirzakhani’s life and work, followed by a talk given by Ayşe Hümeyra Bilge on Industrial mathematics and an open mike where female mathematicians working in various fields present their views on the contributions of their mathematics education.

To celebrate Women in Maths day, there was an online event on May 19, 2021. In the event there was an opening talk on the life and work of Maryam Mirzakhani then there was a talk given by Munevver Tezer and an interview with her. We have also shown part of the movie “Words of women in mathematics in the time of Corona”.

May 12, Women in math Event in Ankara: To celebrate Women in Maths day, there was a one day event on May 17, 2019, at METU in Ankara, organized by TKMD.
In the event there were interviews with women Mathematicians and screening of the short movie Journeys of Women in Math.
