ABOUT WORKSHOP

As Association for Turkish Women in Maths, our aim is to bring women mathematicians, graduate student together to share their research, experience and ideas. To achive this goal we are organizing annual workshops. The first one was held  at Gebze Technical University in Kocaeli, the second one was held at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas, the third one was held in Izmir, hosted by Dokuz Eylul University and the fourth one was held at Middle East Technical University, in Ankara, and  the fifth one was in Diyarbakir, hosted by Dicle University and the sixth one was held in Konya, hosted by Selcuk University. The seventh of these workshops was supposed to be in Van, hosted by Van Yuzuncu Yil University between April 16-18, 2020, but due to covid pandemic it had to be cancelled and then it was later held online with only invited talks on April 27-28, 2022. Similarly, the eight workshop was also held online on April 27-28, 2023 as online due to eartquake disaster in Turkey. Finally, this year the nineth workshop will be held in person, in Izmir, hosted by Izmir University of Economics between May 03-05, 2024.

  The main themes of the nineth workshop are Representation Theory, Functional and Complex Analysis, and Applied Mathematics/Statistics. Besides invited talks there will be sessions for short talks and poster presentations. All talks and posters are open to public.
